It was objectively shit, but I now want one.

Which one?
There is more than one version

2nd-gen? I really want one as well.

I miss my GT. Fun cars

I object to you using the word “objectively” instead of “subjectively”.

Don’t forget they are almost 30 years old and weren’t exactly the cream of the crop when they were built, so some rattling is expected. That said, they drive pretty well - lightweight and ‘nimble’. Plus, a bonus for rear engined RWD!

Careful. They’re addictive. The thing is that it’s so much easier to have fun in a crap car. Cars are the most fun when driven at the limits of their performance, and in a Fiero for one, that limit is so much more achievable.
Here’s mine.. though it’s unoperational again for the time being.

No such thing as a 2nd gen Fiero...

That pretty much sums up my relationship with mine. Puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel.

I wanted one since I saw my first 88 GT, back in 88 when I was 9.

If you get a Fiero, you must introduce Ellis Juan to it.

Last one I drove was in 1996 but I still have fond memories of them. There is something magical about the fiero that you can overlook all the downsides to them. I still want to get an 88 formula one day. I prefer the notchback to the sail panels.
